Taiwan’s economic growth, development has been closely related to Mainland China. Therefore, the Department pours efforts in educating professional talents who are familiar with Mainland China and cross-strait affairs.
- To make good use of its central geographical location advantages between the Taiwan Strait, the Department would strengthen exchanges and cooperation with well-known Universities in Mainland China and Southeast Asia, and would also organize oversea academic visits annually, in order to enhance the student’s understanding toward Mainland China as well as to grasp the pulsation of international trends.
Department Features

1. We are the only department among universities nationwide that offers courses in both international and mainland affairs, and we are named accordingly.
2. For students aspiring to pursue further studies, we offer a thesis production course to assist them in writing dissertations and preparing for graduate school entrance exams. As a result, many of our students are admitted annually to graduate programs at national universities, making us a highly successful department in terms of graduate school admission rates.
3. In addition to providing generous entrance scholarships and various types of scholarships and grants, our students also enjoy substantial benefits for island residents, supported by the Kinmen County Government.
4. Leveraging the convenient “Mini Three Links” between Kinmen and mainland China, we engage in close academic exchanges with prestigious institutions such as Xiamen University, Fuzhou University, Huaqiao University, and Jimei University. This geographical advantage facilitates the exchange of professors and students for courses and joint research discussions, positioning universities and research institutions in Fujian as an academic base for our related research.
